Photovoltaic grid-connected inverter overvoltage causes alarm

Afore released | 2018-11-08 | Click: 2211 times

Photovoltaic grid-connected inverter overvoltage causes alarms to be a common problem. According to relevant regulations, if the PV grid-connected inverter voltage value exceeds the required range, it must jump off to stop the work, in order to ensure equipment safety and operator safety. So the PV grid-connected inverter must work within the specified grid voltage range, can be monitored in real time and synchronized with the grid voltage.

To reduce line loss, appropriate specifications is better to connect the power grid close.

The cable between the PV grid-connected inverter and the grid connection point is too thin, too long, entangled or unqualified, which will cause the voltage difference on the AC terminal side of the inverter to increase, exceeding the PV grid-connected inverter, finally indicating grid overvoltage.

Solution: For the cause of this failure, you can select the AC cable with the appropriate specification wire diameter to connect to the grid, or select the nearest point to connect to the grid to shorten the distance from the PV grid-connected inverter to the grid connection point to reduce the line loss.

Multiple inverters are divided into three phases, and multiple points are connected to the network.

If multiple single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected inverters are connected to the same live line, it will cause the grid voltage imbalance, which will cause the grid voltage to rise, and the PV grid-connected inverter will show overvoltage.

Solution: In this case, multi-point grid connection should be selected to distribute multiple PV grid-connected inverters to the three-phase of the grid.

Use inverter overvoltage and load reduction to prevent off-grid.

The third situation that causes the grid voltage to rise and report the overvoltage is that the installed capacity of the photovoltaic system in the same area is too large, and the number of grid-connected power stations is too many, resulting in insufficient capacity of the grid load.

Solution: The measures that can be taken are to use the inverter overvoltage derating method on the basis of the owner's consent to prevent the inverter from being disconnected.

Phenomenon that PV grid-connected inverter overvoltage can not be generated is common, but it is not difficult to solve. According to the actual situation, the above three solutions can be used to achieve the corresponding effect.
